On Monday, May 13th, at 8:00 AM, Sam Shelby, City Planner, will be on-site at 635 Upland Place to discuss Windmill Hill's request to subdivide the property and build homes. Please attend to learn about the impacts of this plan on our neighborhood.
Brookville-Seminary Valley Civic Association has organized a coordinated neighborhood-wide yard/free sale tomorrow, April 13 starting at 900 AM. A map of participating households can be found here, and will continue to be updated through this afternoon.
Don't miss out on shaping the future of the TRCA by participating in the annual spring meeting and executive committee elections happening on Monday, March 11th from 6:00-7:15 pm both live at First Christian Church of Alexandria as well as virtually through zoom! If we fail to elect officers then the association will have to go dormant and neighborhood concerns won't have a collective voice to the city council. If you can't serve, encourage your neighbors to consider a role in keeping this vital connection to the city going.

Delegate Elizabeth Bennett-Parker and Senator Adam Ebbin will be participating in a virtual Zoom meeting hosted by the Del Ray Citizens Association on Monday, January 8th, at 7:00. We will be fielding questions about the state’s role in the proposed arena project in Potomac Yard. We are inviting your association and your members to participate.

The upcoming in-person open house on proposed safety improvements to West Taylor Run Parkway has been rescheduled to Thursday, December 14 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at Douglas MacArthur Elementary School (1101 Janneys Lane).
During the meeting, staff will give a brief presentation on updated options for the service road and right-turn lane improvements that are part of the West Taylor Run Parkway and Duke Street intersection project. Following the presentation, staff will be available to answer questions and provide additional information about each option.

Agenda Alexandria is pleased to announce its upcoming program on April 24, titled "Duke Street: in motion for Whom?" The event will take place at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial at 7 pm.
The Duke Street corridor is currently undergoing a radical transformation with a series of projects aimed to improve transit and mitigate traffic. During the program, Agenda Alexandria will explore these proposals and their potential impact on local businesses, residents, and commuters."We are excited to bring together members of the community to discuss this important issue," said Rod Kuckro, Chair of Agenda Alexandria.
