The information below comes to us from the Seminary Hill Citizens' Association.
We want to make everyone aware of the Alexandria Transit Vision (ATV) Plan, a project led by the City of Alexandria and DASH. One of the elements being considering through this project is the elimination of the AT2 bus route, which would remove all public transportation service for Janney's Lane and Seminary Road between North Quaker Lane and North Howard Street. For the Douglas MacArthur community, this is the only bus that provides a public transportation option to the school for parents, students, and staff.
If you have questions or concerns about the elimination of the AT2 route, we urge you to do the following:
Complete the ATV plan survey before November 22
Attend upcoming community meetings listed below
Email the DASH project team directly (transitvision@alexandria.gov)
Contact Bill Pfister with your concerns (wcpfister@gmail.com)
A few concerned neighbors are also working to arrange AT2-specific discussions with the city and DASH planners and we want to hear from you to better inform these discussions. A decision will likely be made around the end of November, so we need to move quickly on this.

Suggestion for Completing the Survey by November 22
If you disagree with the elimination of the bus service, select “strongly disagree” to the four questions, and in the space provided explicitly name the elimination of the AT2 (and AT5/6 if applicable). As applicable please provide information that explains your ridership and any hardships that would come about due to its elimination.
